Privacy-first
timekeeping
Privacy-first timekeeping records working time through approved sources, clear review and governed decisions—not by watching people’s screens or digital behavior.

What it is — in
one paragraph.
Privacy-first timekeeping is an approach to recording and governing workforce time that uses relevant time, attendance, scheduling and authorized decision information while avoiding invasive monitoring.
It does not mean all data is anonymous or never processed.
Accountability doesn’t
require watching.
Organizations need reliable records of work and approvals. Continuous surveillance is not required to explain who reviewed a time exception and which policy guided the decision.

Seven methods, excluded by design.
TEMVERIS is designed without screenshots, screen recording, keystroke capture, clipboard capture, webcam or microphone monitoring, browser/app histories, or continuous behavioral surveillance.
Screenshots
Screen recording
Keystroke capture
Clipboard capture
Webcam or microphone monitoring
Browser / app histories
Continuous behavioral surveillance
Privacy-first is not “zero data.”
The platform uses approved time, attendance, schedules, approval decisions, policy context and evidence history to explain workforce records. Purpose, visibility and retention details live in the Trust pages.

Approved time
When work-related entries were recorded.

Attendance
Attendance events from approved sources.

Schedules
Planned shifts for context.

Approval decisions
Who decided, with what authority.

Policy context
The configured rule that applied.

Evidence history
How the record changed over time.
A time event is a signal —
not a surveillance feed.
A time event tells you when a work-related entry was recorded; it does not require collecting screenshots or monitoring every browser tab.

Signals with context
Clock-in at 08:42 from an approved source
Planned shift 08:30
Reviewer decision and policy version
Correction history

What privacy-first avoids
Screenshots every few minutes
Keystroke and clipboard logs
Every browser tab visited
Webcam presence checks

Begin with a traceable source.
Reliable timekeeping begins with a traceable source, captured context and a way to flag missing or conflicting entries.
No device identifiers, GPS tracking or automatic verification are shown or implied.

A variance prompts review, not blame.
America/Los_Angeles. Overnight and daylight-saving shifts carry explicit time-zone context.
People decide — with authority, not visibility.
Designated reviewers consider the context and apply configured policy and approval paths. Approval authority is role-scoped and never presumed from mere visibility.
Unknown is a status — not zero hours.
No source event arrived for the period.
Status: Unknown — not zero hours.
No invented data replacement or silent fallback to zero.
A correction explains what changed — and why.
Questions go through your organization’s verified help or privacy channel. No live employee portal or response time is promised.
Different teams
see different parts.
Access should follow role, purpose and the organization’s approved controls. Previews use synthetic data only.
Accountability comes from
an explainable history.
An explainable record links source, review, policy, authorized decision and subsequent corrections. Worked example: a recorded start differs from the planned shift; a designated reviewer sees the reason, confirms a decision, and the record preserves its history.

Synthetic example — no real worker, narrative or photograph. “Explainable” does not promise legal admissibility.

Summaries of records — not behavior.
Workforce time intelligence can summarize governed records and exceptions without collecting continuous digital behavior.
Small cohorts are suppressed as determined by documented policy. Coverage is shown with every summary.
Approved is not the same as paid.
Approved time can become eligible for downstream workflows. Sending, acknowledgement, recipient processing and payment are separate states.

Privacy-first is a design choice
— not a legal guarantee.
It does not eliminate all personal information or replace a legal privacy notice, security review, employment-law advice or customer data-governance obligations.
Privacy-first
timekeeping,
answered.
Yes: relevant workforce information may be processed; the distinction is how it is collected, used, reviewed and protected.
No. TEMVERIS is designed without screenshots, screen recording, keystroke or clipboard capture, webcam or microphone monitoring, browser/app histories, or continuous behavioral surveillance.
No. Missing or late input is shown as unknown or incomplete, not automatically as zero hours worked.
No. Sending, acknowledgement, processing and payment are separate states.
No. It doesn’t replace a privacy notice, security review, legal advice or your data-governance obligations.
