A captured event may be reviewed under a policy; an approval
has an authority; Evidence preserves how that decision was
made. These stages have distinct meanings.
Work event
Source-reported inputA person's attendance or activity input reported through an authorized capture channel.
Policy rule
Configured criteriaOrganization-defined rules, schedules and thresholds that evaluate the captured event.
Approval decision
Authorized sign-offAn authorized reviewer evaluates exceptions and signs off with accountability.
Evidence record

mean synonymous.

|---|---|---|
| Captured | A source reported an event | That it was reviewed or approved |
| Under review | A reviewer is assessing it | That a decision exists |
| Approved | An authorized decision was recorded | That it was exported or paid |
| Export eligible | It meets destination criteria | That it was transmitted |
| Transmitted | Data was sent | That it was received or processed |
| Received | The recipient confirmed receipt | That payroll processed or paid it |

Accountability without surveillance.
TEMVERIS describes approved workforce data, not screenshots, keystrokes or continuous behavioral surveillance. Privacy terms must not imply that no personal information is processed.

Connect the words before the systems.
APIs, webhooks, exports and contracted approved connectors describe different mechanisms. Specific provider availability requires verification.
Definitions and records can change.
Editorial review and revision history protect the meaning. Definition edits do not change historical operational record state.
